Mystery bag

The Mystery Bag develops tactile exploration and encourages children to observe, compare and identify objects without looking at them. It can be used for sensory activities, object recognition and language-based learning activities.

Mystery Bag turns tactile exploration into a simple and engaging learning activity. Children have to concentrate on what they can feel, encouraging careful exploration, recognition and verbal description of objects.

1. Place one or more suitable objects inside the bag through the zipped opening. 2. The child inserts their hands through the sleeves. 3. Without looking inside, the child explores the object using touch. 4. The child identifies or describes the object. The activity can be adapted by changing the objects placed inside the bag.
